AMS is the exclusive North American importer of the Fiessler Elektroniks and Givi Misure product lines.
Fiessler Elektronik is based in Esslingen, Germany and has been in business for over 40 years, exclusively involved in the field of manufacturing safety and measurement. Fiessler provides opto-electric safety and non-safety equipment for almost every type of machinery. The AKAS II laser light guard system for press brakes is the only fully automatic self-aligning system offered worldwide. The AKAS LC is also available; however this version requires operator alignment of the transmitter and receiver after each punch change over.
Givi Misure, based in Milan, Italy, provides a wide variety of measuring systems to numerous Original Equipment Manufacturers for both new and retrofit applications. Among the many products offered are linear and rotary encoders, magnetic tape measuring systems, and digital read outs. The newest line of battery powered digital read outs has proven to be extremely popular in Europe and we expect the same response here in the United States. The most popular linear encoder is specifically designed for the synchronous press brake Y1/Y2 market. The PBS scale is made of stainless steel, not glass like many of our competitors, as steel is more easily aligned and resistant to thermal expansion.
